stones and more stones...
...observe Janette creating steps to garage side door entrance this morning.
under these stone pavers lies a trench full of pipes which took place the weekend of Oct19 . Assisting Ed on the ditch project was his son Steve on the backhoe and friend Brian Ollman engineering the well pump. This was a huge undertaking that requires many more hours of cleanup.
I found this passage in Gen31:46
He said to his relatives, "Gather some stones." So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.
...so now its time for breakfast.

Water from the Well!
Well, mission accomplished! The first work weekend retreat was a success. Our well has been activated! The pump was installed along with all the lines that go with it and it is a success! Thanks to Steve and Brian for all their help and hard work to help make this possible.

Work Project Retreats
This Saturday marks our first of several upcoming work project retreats. Until now, Ed and Janette have been working in isolation.
This upcoming year will be different. Many people will be given opportunities to come around them as a supportive community -- through prayer, as part of a work team, or as financial partners. Steve Van Doren -- a skilled construction supervisor -- has graciously volunteered to come up throughout the year and supervise groups willing to work on particular projects.
Tomorrow we will be working toward activating our well system for the primary dwelling on the property. Future projects include: Outdoor Kitchen Project, Shower Houses, Tent Platforms and Canvas Tent Installation. There are also extended work team weeks, project preparation retreat and project completion retreat planned.
If you are interested in joining any of these projects or supporting us in any other way, please email us at dalecreekproject@aol.com.
